Welcome Back! It is hard to believe that school has already started . It seems as if we barely had a summer dueto the unseasonably cool weather. 

     I hope that everyone enjoyed the time with their children regardless of It has been busy around school during the last month. Summer school was in full swing, construction within the building was underway, the parking lot project started, and general cleaning and room set-up were all taking place. Having one project can be a difficult task to undertake. Imagine having them all going on at the same time! Even though this was the situation, Eastview was ready for the first day. 

     The first day of school was outstanding. It was great meeting the students as they got off the buses ready for the first day! We held a welcoming ceremony and kicked off the school year with a bang. I think the staff was as excited as the students. What a day!

      Summer school was wonderful. The students and staff worked extremely hard getting a jump start for the new school year. The students enjoyed coming to school, allowing them a jump-start on literacy. The staff enjoyed working with the students and seeing the progress they made throughout the program. Everyone successfully managed learning and teaching even with all the construction taking place. 

     The construction within the building is completed and looks great. The old 4K room in now divided into two classroom is relocated to the first floor by the south doors. It will make arrival and dismissal much simpler for the 4K students since the buses will be loading and unloading right outside that door. The parking lot construction is moving along nicely as well.
